I was recently part of a training program and heard this awesome lesson that will remain with me for the rest of my life.
Its called Function vs Structure.
The story goes so….A man went to the doctor with a slip disc problem. After thorough diagnosis the doctor said that the cause of this problem was the result of years of an erroneous lifestyle where this person spent long periods of time in a sitting position. The doctor further helped sort out the condition by performing a surgery and putting the dis back in position.
Next the doctor advised the man that he had to change his lifestyle else it would lead to a bigger problem post his recovery process. The man was in a dilemma…If he made a drastic change to his current life it may result in loss of his high end lifestyle as the finances would dry up and on the other end he could not go back to his original ways he would end up with an even more precarious situation with his health. His choices were limited. He had to give up his comfort zone and move away to a healthier lifestyle.
Well this brings all of us to the moot point that our function decides the structure of our life. Function is the little activities we do on a daily basis for years together that leads us to our current place in life. what we are is a result of the choices we made in the past and what we become will be a result of the choices we make today.
Correct any erroneous function in life today and don’t wait for the worst to come Do it now!!!!
